Meet Gerty, your
assistant's...assistant
Claude is brilliant at writing code, but when it comes to actually making things happen inside of Unity, you're left doing all the work. Gerty is the friendly helper on the inside that provides the missing link so Claude + Unity feels like magic.
The mastermind's helper
Claude can write amazing code, but when you ask it to "setup a player prefab with a collider" — it's stuck. It can't see your scene. It can't click buttons. It needs someone on the inside.
Gerty lives in your Unity Editor, ready to do Claude's bidding. Claude says "find all objects missing colliders" — Gerty finds them. Claude says "set up the lighting for a night scene" — Gerty handles it. Simple as that.
What Gerty does
All the grunt work, so Claude can focus on being clever.
Sees your whole scene
Every object, every component, every material. Gerty knows what's in your project and can describe it to Claude.
Takes action directly
Create objects, move things around, change colors, add components — Gerty does it right in your Editor.
Sets itself up
No config files to edit. No tokens to copy. Install Gerty, open the window, and you're ready to go.
Ready in about 2 minutes
Seriously, it's pretty quick.
Grab Gerty from the Asset Store
Import it like any other asset. Nothing weird.
Open Window → Gerty
Gerty wakes up and configures everything automatically.
Fire up Claude Code
In your project folder, just run:
claude
Ask for something fun
Claude + Gerty are now a team. Go wild.
Things you can just... ask
Try these, or make up your own.
Find all the lights in my scene and make them 50% brighter
Create a simple enemy that follows the player
What objects have a Rigidbody but no collider?
Add a bounce effect to the red cube when the player touches it
Organize my hierarchy — group all the environment objects
Make a simple day/night cycle for this scene
Questions? We've got answers.
Do I need an API key or separate subscription?
Nope — Gerty works with your existing Claude Code subscription. There's no extra LLM usage, no API keys to manage, no per-token billing. If you're already using Claude Code, you're all set.
How is this different from other AI Unity assistants?
Most AI assistants for Unity require you to bring your own API key and pay per-token for LLM access. Gerty doesn't include an LLM — it gives Claude Code (which you're already using) the ability to see and act inside Unity. It's a superpower for your existing workflow, not a separate tool.
What about Cursor / Gemini / GitHub Copilot?
We're focused on Claude Code right now, but support for other coding assistants is coming soon! Let us know which ones you'd like to see.
What can Gerty actually do in Unity?
Anything you can do in the Unity Editor. Create GameObjects, add components, write scripts, set up lighting, configure physics — all of it. You can literally vibe code entire games without touching Unity yourself. Just describe what you want, and watch Claude build it.
Is it safe? Can Claude break my project?
Gerty includes safeguards to prevent dangerous operations, but we always recommend using version control (Git). Claude can make mistakes just like any assistant — having a backup means you can always roll back.
Give Claude a helping hand
